11 November 2009: A paper authored by Seon Ho Kim, Sakire Arslan Ay, Byunggu Yu and Roger Zimmermann has been accepted to the ACM Multimedia Systems 2010 conference to be held in Scottsdale, Arizona. The paper is entitled "Vector Model in Support of Versatile Georeferenced Video Search". Congratulations to all the authors!

18 September 2009: Another US patent has been issued for our Statistical based admission control technique using three random variable admission control. Patent number 7,584,324 was issued on 1 September 2009. Co-inventors are Roger Zimmermann and Kun Fu.

Georeferenced Video Search

21 August 2009: Our Georeferenced Video Search (GRVS) demo is now online. With GRVS, users can upload and then search videos captured from mobile cameras that include GPS and compass information. It can be thought of as the next step beyond Google Streetview. It provides video displays (instead of static panoramic images) and furthermore is based on community-provided content. Note that the current demo has been tested with the following browsers: IE 7 and 8, Firefox and Chrome. We currently have a limited set of videos from downtown Singapore.

3 September 2009: A US patent has been issued for our Audio Chat System based on Peer-to-Peer Architecture. Patent number 7,577,110 was issued on 18 August 2009. Co-inventors are Roger Zimmermann, Leslie S Liu, Beomjoo Seo, and Kemal Oral Cansizlar.
