The personal website of Roger Zimmermann at the School of Computing is here.

Short Bio

Roger's Google Scholar Citation count (mostly accurate), his DBLP page, his Microsoft Academic Search results (includes results of other people with the same name), his Academia.edu page, his Elsevier Mendeley page, his ACM account, and his ResearchGate page (note, these last two links do not work correctly because ACM and ResearchGate use an underscore in the URL; remove the backslash (or forward slash) to load the page). His ORCID persistent digital identifier is 0000-0002-7410-2590 and his Researcher ID is D-7944-2015.

Roger Zimmermann is associate professor of Computer Science in the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is also deputy director with the Interactive and Digital Media Institute (IDMI) at NUS and co-director of the Centre of Social Media Innovations for Communities (COSMIC), a research institute funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore. Recently he was affiliated with USC as Adjunct Associate Professor, where he received his Ph.D. degree in 1998. His research interests are in the areas of streaming media architectures, distributed and peer-to-peer systems, mobile and geo-referenced video management, collaborative environments, spatio-temporal information management, and mobile location-based services. His work on high-resolution Internet streaming resulted in the Remote Media Immersion system which has been demonstrated on Internet2. Dr. Zimmermann is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a member of ACM. He has co-authored a book, six patents and more than hundred-eighty conference publications, journal articles and book chapters in the areas of multimedia and information management. Dr. Zimmermann is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Multimedia Tools and Applications (MTAP). He is also an Associate Editor with the ACM Computers in Entertainment magazine and the ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Applications (TOMM) journal.
