ACM MM 2009 Papers Accepted

13 July 2009: Two of our contributions have been accepted to the ACM Multimedia 2009 conference, to be held in Beijing in October. The first is a short paper entitled "ISP-Friendly Peer Selection in P2P Networks" by Zhijie Shen and the second is a demo paper "GRVS: A Georeferenced Video Search Engine" by Sakire Arslan Ay, Lingyan Zhang, Seon Ho Kim, and Ma He. Congratulations to all the authors!

8 July 2009: Dr. Beomjoo Seo's PhD research work has been featured in SIGMM Records, Issue 2, June 2009. The focus of the work is on Edge Indexing in a Grid for Highly Dynamic Virtual Environments.

6 July 2009: Roger Zimmermann has joined the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering as a faculty. As NGS member he can supervise Ph.D. students under the NGS Distinguished Scholarship Scheme (NGSS).

Keynote Talk at MUE 2009

4-6 June 2009: I have been invited to give a keynote talk at the 3rd International Conference on Multimedia and Ubiquitous Engineering (MUE 2009) to be held in Qingdao, China. The conference is organized by Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Ocean University of China (OUC), and in cooperation with the IEEE Computer Society.
