GeoVid Patent Application Published

12 December 2013: Our GeoVid patent application ("Apparatus, System, and Method for Annotation of Media Files with Sensor Data") has been published on the United States Patent & Trademark Office website under the publication number US-2013-0330055.

 

2nd Place - ACM SIGSPATIAL GIS Cup 2013

7 November 2013: A team consisting of Yi Yu (NUS), Suhua Tang (ATR Labs) and Roger Zimmermann (NUS) have won 2nd place at the ACM SIGSPATIAL GIS Cup 2013 with an entry entitled "Edge-Based Locality Sensitive Hashing for Efficient Geo-Fencing Application" (out of 29 submissions). The 2013 contest was about geo-fencing, which is a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographic area. Entries were judged based on both high accuracy and speed. Congratulations to the team! This achievement has also been published on the NUS School of Computing website.

MobiCom 2013 Mobile App Competition

12 August 2013: Our group's app entry into the MobiCom 2013 Mobile App Competition entitled "Personal Music Video Generation based on Modeling Scene Moods" has been selected for phase II of the contest. Congratulations to Rajiv Ratn Shah and Dr. Yu Yi! The next phase code submission is due by 6 September.
